Saving The Murray - Because Water Is Our Future  Living in the driest State on the driest Continent was never going to be an easy ask, but over the last 200 years the influx of migration to the state has placed an incredible burden on our natural ecology. We continue to learn better ways to manage our co-existence with the environment, but there are countless things we can do now to improve the current situation. If you can't manage water, you can't manage South Australia.
A Fair Deal for Small Business  Labor Government laws will put unreasonable pressure on hundreds of businesses across the state to comply with anti-terror style 'secret intelligence' provisions. The laws will apply to businesses who sell 'prescribed' second hand goods like caravans, CDs and musical instruments and will impose hefty licence fees.
South Aussies Deserve A Fair Go We all want to be protected. We all want the police to catch criminals and make our streets and our communities safe. But under Rann's ‘tough on crime’ laws you could go to jail just for going fishing with your uncle six times a year if your uncle is or ever was a member of an organisation that the government of the day doesn’t like. This sort of law doesn't fight crime - it makes criminals out of innocent people.
Regional Focus Regional communities often miss out as city demands outstrip country services. I believe that the best system provides a range of choice that gives local communities control over the things that affect them. From water scarcity to a decreasing population, economic base and the centralisation of education and health services regional concerns are being overlooked by city-focused politicians.
Get Involved Whether it’s a concern about your local football team, a local development or fighting climate change you can make a difference. By getting involved with other community members to address concerns at a local, state, federal or international level you will create positive change, build strong community networks and make your community what you want it to be.

Welcome...

Thank you for visiting.

We’re lucky to live in a State with opportunities - but it could be so much better. While bureaucracies, governments and corporations contribute a great deal to our society, they often make decisions that impact our environment, our health and our communities.

I am joining with you to even up the odds in these unequal battles. Together, every now and then, we can win. All too often our leaders play on our fears instead of appealing to our hopes and dreams. My responsibility is to help keep alive a more positive vision of what we could be - if only we worked together. So have a look around: there are forums and fundraisers, speeches and bills and many examples of where I am fighting for and alongside communities. If you are feeling inspired, sign up to Get Involved.

I could use the help ....
